If your feed looks anything like mine, you’ve seen it:
“SEO is dead. Long live AIEO.”
Or GEO. Or LLMO. Or whatever acronym someone just made up in Canva.
Breathe. It’s okay.
Despite the panic-posting, you don’t need a new strategy every time someone renames Google with a side of AI.
Here’s the truth:
If you’ve been doing SEO right (answering real questions, building clear, helpful content, structuring your site well) you’ve already been doing AIEO. And GEO. And every other acronym dressed up to look like disruption.
What’s changed isn’t the mission. It’s just the machine.
Search engines, AI models, generative engines all want the same thing:
Useful. Trustworthy. Human-centered information.
That’s the kind of content SEO was always meant to produce. Not tricks. Not
fluff. Not keyword density math. Just real answers, clearly delivered,
consistently structured.
So no, SEO isn’t dead. It just evolved.
And if you’re doing it right, you never had to chase the algorithm because you were already ahead of it.
And that’s where real digital strategy begins.
